July Meeting
At our July meeting we had a talk from Nick Havermann-Mart, chairman of the BFC and owner of Honeybrook animal food. Nick gave a very interesting talk about how his animal (raptor) food business grew, raptor nutrition and also talked about the grouse moor he has in Scotland and the management of it. We also now have a treasure as Alan Greenhalgh has kindly agreed to do this most interesting task. Thank you Alan. For our August meeting we will be having a pub style quiz with five rounds. Round 1 A picture round naming the species of bird or breed of dog. Round 2 Birds of prey/falconry. Round 3 Quarry Interval to get drinks and refreshments. Round 4 Dogs Round 5 Country mans round. There will be a prize for the winning team members after which the raffle will be drawn. |

2010/2011 seasonWell the birds have almost finished their moult and will be ready to pick up in a few weeks.
If you are flying a new bird, working a new dog or have new ferrets please let me know what you have and how you are progressing as the season goes on. I will let members know through the newsletter the ups and downs as you go through the season. For myself I have two new ferrets to enter after losing the best ferret I have ever had last year. These two have a lot to live up to! I will keep you informed of their progress.
